Parent Information

Everything families need to know about attending Happy Bubby Family Day Care.

  • Families must follow the approved sign-in and sign-out process each day.
  • The educator must be informed when a child arrives or leaves the service.
  • Gates and doors must remain securely closed at all times.
  • Children must never be left unattended in a vehicle.
  • Only authorised persons may collect children. Identification may be requested.
  • Labelled drink bottle
  • Labelled sun-safe hat
  • Spare clothing (at least one full change)
  • Weather-appropriate clothing
  • Nappies and wipes where required
  • Labelled nappy cream where required
  • Comfort item where agreed with the educator
  • Required medication with completed documentation
  • Please dress your child in comfortable clothing suitable for active and messy play.
  • Safe, enclosed footwear is recommended for outdoor play.
  • Please clearly label all belongings including hats, jumpers and bags.
  • Spare clothing is important in case of spills, water play or toileting accidents.
  • Healthy food choices are encouraged for all meals and snacks.
  • Water is the preferred drink throughout the day.
  • All food restrictions, allergies and dietary requirements must be communicated to the educator before the child's first day.
  • Food must be clearly labelled with the child's name.
  • Food arrangements will be discussed during enrolment.
  • Happy Bubby Family Day Care maintains a nut-aware environment.
  • Families must discuss all allergies, dietary requirements and food restrictions with the educator.
  • Please do not send any food containing nuts or nut products without prior discussion.
  • Children must wear a sun-safe hat for outdoor play.
  • Sunscreen is applied before outdoor experiences. Please advise the educator of any skin sensitivities.
  • Outdoor activities are planned with consideration of UV levels, shade and weather conditions.
  • Families are asked to dress children in clothing that provides appropriate sun protection.
  • Open communication between families and the educator is essential. Please share:
  • Changes in your child's routine or behaviour
  • Sleep and rest information
  • Health concerns or illness
  • Family events that may affect your child
  • Your child's current interests
  • Developmental observations or concerns
  • Changes to collection arrangements
  • Feedback, suggestions or concerns
  • Personal toys should generally remain at home to prevent loss or damage.
  • Books, photographs or cultural items may be brought for planned sharing experiences with prior agreement from the educator.
  • Families are welcome to participate in the program. You might like to:
  • Read a story or share a favourite book
  • Share music, songs or instruments from your culture
  • Cook or bake with the children
  • Share your cultural traditions or celebrations
  • Talk about your occupation or interests
  • Support a special event or celebration
