Learning Program

Our program is play-based, responsive to individual children and connected to the Early Years Learning Framework.

At Happy Bubby, learning happens throughout the day — through play, relationships, routines and intentional experiences. Our program is thoughtfully planned and continuously adjusted based on our observations of each child's interests, strengths and developmental needs.

We follow the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to guide our planning, observation and assessment practices. For children approaching school age, our program includes school-readiness experiences that build confidence, independence and essential skills for a smooth transition to kindergarten.

Children's Ideas and Interests

Activities are planned in response to what children notice, discuss, explore and enjoy.

Following a child's fascination with insects into a nature exploration project
Expanding a love of building blocks into measurement and design activities
Using a child's interest in cooking to explore science and nutrition
Responding to a child's questions about weather with hands-on experiments
